National Clinical Programme for Diabetes Technology Networking Event – Save the Date 10th October 2024

Dear colleagues,

The National Diabetes Programme is holding a one-day Diabetes Technology Networking Event in the Sheraton Athlone on Thursday 10th October 2024. It is aimed at multidisciplinary specialist acute care diabetes teams across Ireland who want to upskill, increase confidence and maintain competence in incorporating diabetes technology and e-health into their diabetes care pathways.

Update on 2024 Joint Irish-UK Endocrine Meeting 14th and 15th October 2024

Dear Colleagues,

I trust you all had a relaxing and enjoyable summer. The Joint Irish-UK Endocrine Meeting is fast approaching (just over five weeks to go!) and we are very much looking forward to welcoming you to Belfast! Registration is open link 

**Registration for the Gala Dinner has just opened.**  This will take place in the beautiful surroundings of Belfast City Hall and promises to be a fantastic evening with a drinks reception, fine dining and entertainment provided.  Entrance is by ticket only and this MUST be purchased online in advance of the meeting and it is not possible to register on the day.  I would urge you to register asap- this is definitely an event not to be missed! (Please note, if you have already registered for the conference, this does not include registration for the gala dinner and you must follow the instructions in the link below to add tickets for the dinner to your registration)

Finally- if you have not booked accommodation yet, the IES have secured a preferential rate at the Grand Central Hotel in Belfast of £155 B&B per night single occupancy, £175 B&B per night double occupancy on Sun 13th and Mon 14th October (limited availability- must be booked before 16th September).  If you would like to book, please call 028 9023 1066 or email [email protected] quoting Irish Endocrine Society and the block ID number 658331.  The hotel is close to the bus and train stations and has car parking nearby.  It is within walking distance of the city centre, the conference centre and the location for the conference dinner.
